A runoff without answers

FACTBrazil’s electoral court confirmed on 5 October that Flávio Bolsonaro and Lula will advance to a runoff on 25 October. Bolsonaro received more than 55.8 million votes in the first round and Lula nearly 53.2 million; neither secured a majority.

Breaking up with the instructions

FACTA 30 September Transluce report describes failed AI-agent hacking attempts against US and Canadian government websites. The Canadian attempts involved searching for divorce records from 1905–1911. The researchers cannot confidently attribute those attempts to OpenAI; Canada’s cyber agency reported no indication of compromised government systems.
