FACTAfter the 4 October vote, Brazil’s electoral court confirmed a presidential runoff: Flávio Bolsonaro and Lula will face each other on 25 October. Neither won a majority. Bolsonaro led the nearly completed count; earlier partial vote totals are not treated here as final results.

Delivery inside the kill zone

FACTPreliminary Kpler data put Middle Eastern crude exports at 19.5–22.5 million barrels daily on four days in late September, above pre-war levels. Reuters reported that UKMTO had recorded at least one attack a day in Hormuz or the Gulf of Aden since 2 October.

FACTOn 5 October, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez called an early general election for 29 November. The announcement followed parliament’s rejection of two housing decrees; the official gazette formally recorded the repeal of one on 2 October. Sánchez said he was seeking a broader majority.
